@deviantollam Can you adapt to existing item ie already made, something like embossing tool ball end or similar for leather working?
Edit: or a stylus or some type of pointer.

@basdriver I was wondering about that, hence the suggestion to make hole in box to allow PIR poke out a little and "see" outside and then seal inside of box around back of PIR.

@basdriver Thinking...the PIR might be better handled if mounted away from the PCB, so it could mount through side of case with sealant inside?

Do you know if the PIR is rated for indoor or outdoor use?

@basdriver I use IP rated enclosures for my outdoor stuff, mostly because I use cheap modules and always need to change/fix/add things, so then you have easy access, which you lose when using potting.

@basdriver

Concentrate on what requirements you have eg waterproofing and think if heat removal is an issue (usually traps heat).

Also note one most common feature is to
set hard to stop anyone reverse engineering.

There are silicon based ones avail, even from common "electronic" shops like jaycar.

@basdriver

The term you want is "potting compound".

I have no experience doing this, only undoing. However pretty sure that most/all potting compounds would only have small impact on RF, your research will tell you. Take care if you think of using silicon, as most contain acetic acid.
