@natejung You don’t even have to go out and take things when they are free, just because they are free. 100% Orange Juice is free on Steam right now and my son saw it and asked if I was getting it for my account. I said no. He asked “why not?, it’s free.”. Explained to him I don’t need it and won’t use it. More stuff is just more headache to sort through. Focus on what you love.

@cb_desu @noivad Yeah look at Steam’s windows, it wasn’t even updated to fit in with MacOS from 5 years ago, let alone today. Can’t really blame Apple if publishers want their software to look different. If Apple forced UI on third parties, users and publishers would be angered.

@Oregon_Pacifist Some people may not agree with me, but imho the DD arcade game is not a good game. I would say most of the home console ports are better, so that can’t be nostalgia talking on my end since I played those ports (aside from NES) in my adult life. DD arcade is a legend for bringing into existence the belt scrolling craze that followed it, but it was an early prototype of what would follow, much like Street Fighter 1, a rough experience important historically.

@root42 They remade the first Game Boy Castlevania on Wii and it is much much better. Either of the two following Game Boy titles are better as well. If you are counting GBA, those are all great. The NES titles play similar to the 3 GB titles, but 1 and 3 on NES are much better games. 2 is good but it is more RPG like and I would suggest playing a patched ROM to fix some of its rougher features and downfalls.

@ktnjared Mac and Steam Deck is really the ultimate combo.

@killyourfm I don’t know what it is, but they all look the same to me, even across different genres. Maybe the dark colors all browns and reds. It all looks boring to me. What Nintendo is doing and even what third parties bring to Nintendo seem more exciting. Indies and revivals have also been so great lately. No time for the 200 hour edgy games that want to be movies, but aren’t as exciting as movies.
