The Vision Pro is dead until there is a killer app, like all the ones Apple is blocking with App Store rules, or until there is a model that doesn't cost thousands of dollars. An upgraded version of the existing model solves neither of those problems.

I’ve decided that AI discourse rn reflects the extent to which the author expects to personally benefit from it.
- if you think it’s a meat grinder headed your way, it’s not relevant how good it is at weaving a bolt of cloth
- if you think it’s good & useful, you don’t think *you* will ultimately be caught in the teeth of the machine
I think this theme is as good as it's getting! Light mode has a crisp SVG-based rounded toolbar, dark mode doesn't because it clashes with Firefox's background overlay effect. Popups have some transparency to match Liquid Glass.
Coming soon to a Firefox near you. ✨
Two standard URIs we need in [current year]:
1. Music. I should be able to share a platform agnostic link to a song that your music service can match and open correctly
2. Maps. This one should be like especially straightforward. Why can’t I send you a link from Apple Maps that opens in Google Maps or Open Street Map or whatever.
Let’s go standards body people. I know y’all are on Fedi
Edit: hey maybe check replies before replying. A ton of people have already mentioned geo:// 🙂
Making some decent progress with a Firefox theme for macOS Tahoe. Still can't do translucency, but I can make a curved toolbar with three stacked background images.
Unfortunately, the PNG backgrounds are blurry on high DPI. Is this when I finally learn Inkscape? 🤔
The current version that matches macOS Sequoia 15 and earlier versions is on Firefox Add-ons. If I end up updating it, I'll publish the previous version to keep it around.
