I’m over here just scrolling through pictures from 2019, thinking “oh, that was last year.” No. It was almost FIVE YEARS AGO. And I am not okay.

24-year-old me would be simultaneously proud and horrified by the current situation of 44-year-old me.

Proud as hell: made that lifelong dream of moving to Australia happen.

Horrified: wake up at 4am and roll into a day of Zoom calls wearing a hoodie and zero makeup on camera. The absolute horror.

I’m headed back to the US in a few weeks for a visit. The amount of packages I’ve sent myself from my favorite US companies (that will be an expensive pain to ship to Australia and hard to replace) likely rivals the past 5 years of Christmas mornings combined. Merry US visit to me.
