I am constantly shocked at how #TheHoliday is simultaneously the best AND the worst Christmas #RomCom ever. The Iris/Miles story is one of my favourite romcom stories written, and then the Amanda/Graham story is terrible in EVERY way. The writing is horrific and the acting is even worse. If someone were to tell me that Nancy Meyers had a ghost writer for the UK plot and she wrote the LA plot, I would be like “this explains a lot” because they feel like different movies.
