I want to listen to new papers while I am commuting! I wrote a blog post arguing that scientific publishers should use some of their profits to produce audio reads of papers, for accessibility and to serve the community. Comments/further ideas welcome! https://twitter.com/PLOSBiology/status/1595061796804739072

Firstly, I'd just like to say thank you to all the people who have liked, boosted and commented on my images, and to all the new followers I have. It's rather humbling. 😊

Today's shot comes from a magical day in the Scottish #Highlands, a few years ago, when I was photographing red squirrels.

These charming characters are incredibly agile and can jump great distances between trees.

Here I managed to capture one as it appears to be flying down my lens.

Covid-19 in the community - Overview

Thanks to the Danish Nationalt Center for Overvaegt for inviting me and Sarah le Brocq to talk about our guidance for clinicians to improve communication with people living with obesity, & why evidence from #communication science & lived experience was crucial in developing these.

And finally... what is increasingly a broken health care system is - unsurprisingly - having an effect on the health of our population. Adding to the considerable number of people who report being severely affected by Long Covid (ONS reckons about 340K as of Oct 2022).

The number of working aged people economically inactive because of ill health - already increasing pre-2020 - is going up ever faster.

This is bad news for them, bad news for the NHS and bad news for our economy. 8/

Day-to-day I'm a video journalist for a news agency, but my real love is hiking and wildlife. You'll find my writing and photography in magazines like The Great Outdoors, Trail and Bird Watching. I'll be tooting about nature and travel. #introduction #hiking #writer #writing #adventure #wildlife #photography #freelance

A New Leadership Model – Leading With Kindness

World Kindness has been celebrated globally on 13th November for the past 32 years. Introduced by the non-profit organization, World Kindness Movement, the vision is to inspire and encourage people to show greater kindness in the hope of creating a fairer, better world.
