The #plants I put in my #vivarium are growing so well! I was told that #ArmadillidiumVulgare #isopods will quicky eat up the plants, but I've had this going since early June and the isopods tend to leave the plants alone if they have veggie scraps and oak leaves. Hopefully this trend continues as the #isobabies get larger if not I'll just remove some of them. Here are the plants I put in: #PterisFern #BabyTearsPlant #morningglories
The new U.S. majority isn't just young, tolerant and diverse. They vote. The right hates that, and it hates what it sees when it looks at something like U.S. women's soccer
They hate America AND democracy, and it's devolving toward violence.

βDid you know that when you take a picture of a pollinator for #iNaturalist, it allows you to add in the flower that itβs visiting? Use the "Observations Fields" β> "Interaction"β> "visited flower of" feature on the site. Researchers and nerds like me will thank you!β

Funnily enough, Martin Crawford doesn't really have much to say about #NativePlants, I think he says something like "what is native, anyway?".
So there are plants from all over the world, and a lot from North America.
My take is that non-invasive non-natives are fine for crops *but* bulk of infrastructure plants should be native.
Also, non-invasive depends where you are in the world, eg Elaeagnus umbellata is invasive in parts of USA
