Another for the people who, for reasons I cannot comprehend, are not fans of snakes. Instead, lizards and...a very, very special endemic salamander...are the headliners again! Many unique critters that call the southern stretches of New Mexico home, and over these two days quite a bit was seen. Some very cool wildflowers as well.

Finishing up the West Texas trip...and this was a day that started out, with not a lot of promise. A skink that is a little uncommon in the region though we see plenty elsewhere, and one of my usual birding spots, but reptile finds were low and cold storms drove expectations down.
But then...the Trans Pecos Holy Grail decided to make an appearance.
