Finally throwing myself into dying like a dog in public #chess games, to better learn how to fail gracefully, and even win sometimes. Just had someone resign on me, which is what I usually do when I'm imploding with negativity.

As long as I can keep a God's eye view of it, then winning and losing are meaningless; it's just two space particles playing a game and who cares :)

Must mean there's a lot of ever-present love too.

My 11 y/o desktop pc has just had a reactive servicing by me, to make the power button work again (percussive maintenance), and included an unexpected bonus challenge of gluing the DVD drive's fractured SATA data connector back together. Which it now is, aided by a decent blob of hot glue for the rest of its natural service life.

Needless to say, an extensive dust bunny colony was evicted in the process.

This exercise spanning several days, has had a positive effect on my world view.

I'm trying to find a working "Target UFO" by #Alca from 1970. I last saw it in a Welsh arcade c.1975. A rare #electromechanical #amusement.

Used very little #electronics to support it. Relied on clever use of projections, I surmise.

If anyone knows of a working one, I would make a pilgrimage to play it! Might even buy an old one...

Makes a pretty great nook to examine, make and mend at.
