I'm a retired software engineer living life in DunTuring and finding ever newer activities in which to develop and nurture my incompetence. I play the #ElectricBass very badly and I've also tried my hand at bad #Drumming . Previously I've acquired a spectacular level of ineptitude in DIY synth design and my skills as a #KeyboardPlayer will leave you gasping and possibly laughing. Like Robert Fripp without the talent. But, and this is very important, I am enjoying it.

Last night into this morning, we had the strongest aurora I've seen since 2015. We're entering the solar maximum cycle again, and I hope we see lots more of these before the cycle ends.

Student: Rights for whom?

Teacher: We're not allowed to tell you.

my job is: 1) to prevent the workers from stealing company property, everything from tools to disposable napkins from the mess hall; 2) to prevent the workers from injuring and/or killing management, no matter how tempting the prospect might be

We saw this on our last visit to #DurhamCathedral . It's in a beautiful setting maintained by people who care about the beauty of the space. This is much better than all the traditional European post-Renaissance depictions of the subject.
