holy crap it's the 1 day reminder!

NHAM in concert present: control.org manipulate 25 in '26

Join us at 2100 UTC on Thursday 19th March at https://tv.theindiebeat.fm/ for a special themed live concert.

I am performing my dark dance album manipulate in it's entirety for its 25th release anniversary. It was awesome reworking the material that sonically still kicks the llamas arse.

It saddens me the dark and dystopian themes are only more pertinent in these horrific times. But we will stomp together in solidarity.

Then of course synthpop cover bangers for the people. A few from my REPLICATE 1.0 album not previously performed live, and also a sneak preview debut.

Everyone (who doesn't punch down) is welcome. Free for everyone to #joinin and free from corporate platforms!

One of the greatest things about our digital neighbourhood music gatherings is the community vibes.

You will have a great time just watching the intelligent, supportive, friendly and lovingly silly chat amongst rad folks, but do have a go saying ahoy. It's modded by our artist cousins. You might even enjoy the oontz too.

The team at control freak studio have been flat tack for weeks building this new show.

Doom Kitty, Engineer Dog, 3/4 roll of gaffer tape and me the human hope to see you on the virtual dancefloor. We have more show cues and technical tasks than 3 octopi could pull off. Probable joyous chaos.

Will I spill my tea? Will I hit every cymbal? Will I lose my voice? Will chat coin 30 new collabs, band names, and memes?

In a time where approximately everything sucks, join us for some cathartic beauty in the darkness.

Some #nerdystats before heading to bed.

Since the 17th of February I’ve spent 25 hours and 20 minutes with anything #drumming
Means:
-band practice
-practice alone on the full kit
-sticking patterns and endurance on the practice pad for hands
-speed practice on the practice pad and bass drum
-isolated bass drum exercises
(Yes, I track these things, because that’s one of the easiest way to see the progress.)

In the last month I was concentrating on bumping up the speed while increasing endurance. Seems contradictory, still feasible if those exercises are constantly mixed.
Hands and feet are about 15 to 20 BPM faster now (more than 2min continuously) 🤘🏻
