Night shift project: I built a small local CLI dashboard called DailyShell 🌙
It shows weather, today’s events, todos, notes, work shifts, and Mastodon notifications directly in the terminal.
Local-first, simple, and actually useful already. Later I want to turn it into a small Docker web app.

triswebAfter 1,300 days (3 years 6 months give or take) running my own Mastodon server in my basement, the lesson is, you can run your own Mastodon server in your basement.
It basically just works. You learn how to do the maintenance and then it’s not so bad. No one has trouble finding you. Your posts can still go viral (but only if you’re cool, which I am not, but it has happened accidentally once as a PoC).
Federation works!
So yeah, continuing on in a boring fashion with my homegrown social media.

Sondern tretet in Gewerkschaften ein und unterstützt deren Arbeit!
Der gewerkschaftliche Organisationsgrad in Deutschland liegt nur noch bei etwa 16,5%. Natürlich denkt die Politik sie kann Einschnitte durchsetzen. Weil bei so einem niedrigen Orgagrad keine schlagkräftige Gegenwehr z.B. mit Streiks zu erwarten ist.

Perhaps you can have a look at #forgejo which is implemented in #Golang, and the #UX is very similar to #Github's.
And #Codeberg is hosted on forgejo, and maintain a downstream fork, optimized for high-scale use, which is also open source.
Some large projects have migrated from GH and GL before, and created migration reports, etc. The other day I was asking if there's a list of those, I am not sure there is.
