Retired. Now I have the time to follow in what I am interested in.

The EU-US transatlantic partnership is the most significant bilateral trade and investment relationship in the world.

The EU-US deal restores stability and predictability for citizens and businesses on both sides of the Atlantic.

Here's what it means - https://europa.eu/!vFrJwc

@Extra_Special_Carbon @cstross In the end one does achieve much by having a loud mouth and cannot bite.
@cstross I just hope that China will not give in by offering a trade deal to the USA advantage.

Reminder: Trump announced his China tariffs on April 10th.

It takes 30 days for a container ship from Shenzhen to arrive on the US west coast, 45 days to the east coast.

The supply chain shock will therefore really get started around May 10th and intensify through the month, reaching its peak around the beginning of June, as factories fall idle, warehouses empty, truckers are laid off, and supermarket shelves become barren …

So China won't budge before the 10th.

Why would they?

@randahl Who believes that the " Emperor" can remember what he said a few years ago??? Just watch what he doing now!!!
Now that Trump suddenly claims, Crimea should belong to Russia, it is helpful to recall which US administration declared that Crimea would forever belong to Ukraine in 2018.
When the moment came, Harvard didn’t hedge or flinch—it stood up. A reminder that integrity isn’t complicated, it’s just rare.
@randahl very well said!

Imagine this was 1944, and the Allies were slowly but surely starting to defeat the Nazis; but then in the middle of the complex war, a new US president came into power, and he suggested that Europe should now achieve peace by letting Hitler keep France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, and Poland.

We Europeans would laugh at that president. Just like we are laughing at Trump right now, for suggesting we should let the modern day Hitler keep Crimea, Kherson, Zaporitzjzja, Donetsk and Luhansk.

May I suggest that whenever one a buying anything to base the decision to purchase on the country of origin.
