When people ask me when will my book be published, I'm reminded of how hard it's to explain to those outside the #WritingCommunity that getting published isn't a sprint.
That it's more like running six marathons one after the next while also training for a triathlon & always knowing that finishing one race doesn't guarantee you'll get to run in the next.
Most important, it's hard to explain that, while writing is a solitary activity, I'm not in this alone.
