I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul. she/her/queer #ADHD #UrbanForestry #wolves #coyotes #furry #SFF #disability Alt-text for profile badge: the leaf scar of Ailanthus altissima, tree of heaven, which is vaguely heart-shaped.
Got home to see my goat looking like he was covered in blood. A worrying moment until I realised he'd gotten into some plums!
Here he is using his plum-stained face to try opening the door (Thankfully the lock is strong)
@wintersweet whenever I try to figure out a gender marker and then apply it to myself, I have a similar experience....
@mishellbaker Feminine thighs comes the closest to making intuitive sense to my brain. I wonder if it's a way of moving + physical appearance for me. I associate female with a certain kind of welcoming lap, which means a certain steadiness / warmth in physical affect. (I remember your long hair, too, and want to acknowledge that loss and beauty)
@winnie Thank you very much for explaining--what splendid things you realized about yourself. If I am understanding right, is it that there are ways you want to be, and those ways happen to be coded as femme by society? Not, they are femme therefore they are you?
Anyone else have a list of wild schemes that just float around in the back of your head waiting for a fateful injection of finances and poor judgement, like small gods in search of worshippers?
@winnie I am extremely curious but also do not want to put you out.

Have you ever thought to yourself "I sure do love earthworms, but I just wish they were smaller"? If the answer to that was yes, then Potworms (Enchytraeidae) are for you!

Potworms are basically just scaled-down versions of their earthworm relatives, and occur in large numbers in habitats that tend to be less hospitable to earthworms, such as very acidic coniferous forest soils.

@kemonine The cultural shift is super interesting. Gender is perceived differently now than it was when I was younger. (I am 37). I'm not quite sure the axes it is changing along, though.
@aloosefruit Yeah, I am not sure what male female even mean for myself, so I was curious if other people knew for themselves. So far responses seem to indicate that I am not alone in my confusion. But I appreciate knowing you have a definite sense of your gender even if it isn't clearly defined in words.
@oya Yeah, I just want people to feel respected in who they are, whatever that is, as much as possible.
