I had the same Maths teacher last 3 years of High School. His style didn't work for me at all and ultimately my understanding suffered.

I got enough to go study CompSci but the pure enjoyment died.

I've always regretted not being more mature back then to seek extra guidance.

It is only many years later while applying trigonometry to video game development that the spark of joy at Maths returned.

It's easy to regret the time lost between those moments...but good to be grateful for the change.

I really love #BaldursGate3 in so many ways.

It truly feels like decisions and actions matter compared to so many CRPGs where dialogue trees all end up at the same destination.

I absolutely love that the developers thought of all the crazy stuff we could get up to. It reminds me of getting on top of the scoreboard in Super Mario Bros 1-2 and thinking I was so smart...only to be rewarded with warp zones because Miyamoto-san was 10 steps ahead 😄

I used to love going to the cinema. But over the last two years too many movies have been ruined by the conduct of others. One instance was particularly unhinged.

It makes me feel sad that I've lost that enjoyment. I still want to go, it's just not worth the gamble. You only get one chance to see a movie for the first time, after all.

I loved how Legend of Zelda #OracleOfAges and #OracleOfSeasons were linked (😉).

Finish one and you get a code. Enter that into the other at the start of a new game and things changed. You effectively get 4 games in 2.

#Nintendo franchises would use that idea. Although...those #GameBoy Color games were short enough for it to work 🤔
