Here are the leading states reporting XBB.1.5 lineages.
New York shows the highest growth, up from 1% to 28% of samples in just 9 days. Connecticut has also reported steep growth to 22%.
For New York, the XBB.1.5 lineage is showing an extremely high growth advantage of 26% per day against all BQ.* lineages, with a crossover in early December.
This is the highest growth advantage against a dominant lineage clan that I can recall from any lineage anywhere - very surprised to see it in a community with presumably high immunity levels.
