TEMPORARILY ROBIN

I am as old as the Universe.

Not this form, of course. This form is seventy years old, with its history, its damaged left side, its memories, its habits, its coffee, its breath, its little weather system.

But the awareness temporarily looking through this form does not feel seventy.

It does not feel young or old.

As this form, I do not remember beyond this form’s experience. I am blocked from that, and perhaps mercifully so. The cup could not hold the whole ocean and still be a cup.

So here I am.

The ocean is briefly cup-shaped.

And the cup has coffee.
