RE: https://journa.host/@samlitzinger/116784883875340095

I'm so fucking tired of hearing these murderous bastards say that the people they killed 'were not targets', as if that is a coherent statement.

When you drop bombs, you've targeted. Period. You are responsible for what you destroy. Period.

@Remittancegirl This. They are talking like "we didn't really /want/ to kill that particular person" is a get-out-of-jail-free card.
@forse And I hate that the media keeps repeating their statements like that as if they are some sort of legitimate and coherent response.
@Remittancegirl I once served in the armed forces, we would every year undertake annual training, part of that training included the Law of Armed Conflict & the Geneva Convention. EVERYONE HAD TO PASS this part. No if or buts. All the rules are known. Israel & USA are breaking all of them. ALL. OF. THEM.
they know it too.
EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF. THEM.

@Remittancegirl Conversely, if you can't be trusted not to bomb non-targets, then you shouldn't be bombing anything.

"Precision guided modern munitions that fuck up 100% of the time" feels like a problem.

@gooba42 @Remittancegirl “Conversely, if you can't be trusted not to bomb non-targets, then you shouldn't be bombing anything.”

Similalrly when you don’t give a f*%k who you kill.

@Remittancegirl They have a fantastic precision strike capability and an equally impressive intelligence network that they brag about all the time.
She was deliberately hit. There are no two ways about that.
Journalists should bring her up as soon as they start bragging again.
@edgeofeurope @Remittancegirl
If there are any journalists left, since they target them too.
@Remittancegirl
Not a lawyer but I am somewhat reasonably certain that by now their actions should fall under the legal principal of "oblique intent"? i.e. it doesn't even really matter anymore whether they "really wanted" to kill their victims or not, they should still be held accountable regardless

@Remittancegirl

“Collateral damage” - accidented to death - or killed on purpose is all the same when you’re on the receiving end. Since the dead can’t speak for themselves, the burden falls on us.

War is evil.
There is no such thing as a just war.
Every person is inherently, uniquely, and infinitely valuable.

@DavidM_yeg @Remittancegirl Especially these wars. Bibi and asshole are running away from a lifetime sentence.

@Remittancegirl

Israel Disgusting Murderous Ghoul State.

I am Half jew and would not lift a finger to protect such absolutely vile creatures.

I purchase nothing from Israel
I give no sympathy or support for any israeli that is not clearly and openly protesting the GENOCIDE and KILLING.

@Remittancegirl Israel's "logic" goes like this: "Attention everyone! We with our best friend Palantir are targeting area X, you have 12 hours to leave area X, if for any reason you don't leave area X, then it's your fault when you get decapitated or killed, and by the way we have mercenaries with guns who are required to fire widely into the air when you try to get to water stations, but don't drink! Also, our highly precision weaponry double taps schools full of children, but not our fault!"

@Remittancegirl

I once heard the Danish Ombudsman explain that in Danish law knowledge is more important than intent. If you knew that something could be the effect of your actions you're responsible for it, even if it wasn't what you aimed to do.

These f....ers are guilty as f....

@Remittancegirl yes. As if "oops! Sorry, it was an accident" makes it all right. They've just killed your loved ones - it doesn't excuse it that they didn't mean the bomb to hit that particular person.
@Remittancegirl they are even killing lebanese army soldier then pretend it is about hizbollah.
@Remittancegirl they never say that doctors nurses and first responders are not targets. Neither do they say that Journalists and reporters are not targets. So we can safely conclude that they are targeting the medical profession and the media.
@peterbrown they are responsible for every life they’ve taken because they could reasonably know that dropping bombs and firing weapons at people can result in their death
@Remittancegirl
So if I start throwing rocks at an Israel embassy I'll get away because they "were not targets"? Good, good...

@Remittancegirl

Fucking liars.
To Israel we are all targets.
They just have to apologize to the targets they haven't killed yet until they have no more targets left.

@Remittancegirl "see, we knowingly bombed a place full of people but it was because we wanted to kill one"
It almost makes it worse!
@ehproque @Remittancegirl It shows who's behind the comment is stupid.
@Remittancegirl Exactly, simply war crimes…
@Remittancegirl If you fire a gun in the middle of a crowd, you are responsible if the bullet hits someone, even if you weren't aiming at them specifically.
@Remittancegirl
That and the murderous bastards are simply lying.
If you can commit as many as six genocidal acts before breakfast, lying is fuck all.
@Remittancegirl I stopped listening when that child and the aid workers who went to rescue her from a bullet-ridden car full of her dead relatives were targeted and murdered. Had to finish what they started, didn't want to see a little girl on the news talking about her experience.
@Remittancegirl and if they weren't target that is EXACTLY WHY it is a war crime to kill them.

@Remittancegirl At best "They were not targets" sounds like they really don't know how to aim. If they weren't targets then WHY WERE THEY HIT?

If I tried to shoot someone and accidentally shot someone else I don't think "I was aiming for someone else" would get me far.

@Remittancegirl They lost my support a long time ago.
@Gargron Please don’t boost this sort of thing. Cheers.
@desafinado What sort of thing is it?
@Gargron Oops. Sorry for the omission. I meant the agitation against “murderous bastards.”
@Remittancegirl @Gargron That’s supremacists for you, they genuinely don’t care.
