(Yes I know this isn’t new news. But it was news to me as I don’t track the uptime. You are welcome to feel superior in your tracking without tagging me.)
@c_9 i’m biased - insert obligatory i don’t speak for my employer disclaimer here - but it’s a little bit annoying how these sites aggregate every statused incident across every single sub service; it discourages operators from being transparent
@phillmv Understood, and I would share that concern if I was part of a thing being evaluated I bet. I’m glad this one shows the sub services, for those who want that info.
@c_9 @phillmv given the history of "controversial" decisions, IMHO MS deservers to be ridiculed.
@c_9 In the last few months, there seems to be *something* down several times per week. And it doesn't matter if other things are up: if even one link is broken, the whole chain doesn't work.
@c_9 "If even *we* can't do it, imagine how badly *your* engineers would run this place."

@c_9 Don't forget this:

That "High Score" is embarrassing

Days Without GitHub Incident

@c_9 at least they score one nine in number of incidents (94) 🤣
@c_9 Still 84%? Feels much less to us here. More like 64% or so…
@c_9
And none of the bars are blue? Maybe it should be down for maintenance more often, and less often for unplanned reasons.
@c_9 they are playing a long game.
make github shit enough so that Team Foundation Version Control starts looking good.
if you squint. while high.

@kaasbaas @c_9 Maybe they prepare to introduce SSC.

SourceSafe Cloud.

@c_9 more than one incident a day in the last 90 days. No nines.

It is hard to imagine from product person up to C level not being shitting blood mad about this.

@c_9 Fairly confident they are slopping, and other products will be degrading at varying rates.
@c_9
Yes, but look at it from the bright side: the shareholders are happy! Right?
😁
@c_9 Back to the days when SourceSafe would corrupt the repository....
@c_9 Waiting for nine zeroes.
@c_9 They were only trying to recreate the microsoft logo with those colors! But they are missing some blue/maintenance :(
@c_9 I’m running git on my own server: 100% 😂. Makes me wonder if it’s not possible to have a decentralized git system like Mastodon, would make so much sense!
