Adulthood is just cycling between "If I don't say yes to every opportunity, no new opportunities will ever be offered to me" and "Oh no, I have said yes to too many things" over and over until you die.
@evacide how dare you, in my own home, etc ❤️
@evacide im in this post and i dont like it
@evacide oh no.
@joncamfield I am so lucky that this is my life, but also I need to say no to more things.
@evacide - Ooof. Nail on the head with this one. I feel this completely.
@evacide was thinking "well, I"m pretty good at not doing that" except this morning's dream was ALL about having signed up for too many things :P
@evacide I consider it a valid live choice to climb up onto my roof and throw books at anyone that gets too close..
@evacide "I would prefer not to"
@evacide Can't speak for anyone else, but after years of that I've found learning to say no more and more vital.
@evacide This is much more accurate than I care to admit.

@evacide i mean with all the downturns in our lifetime and how rough the career doldrums can be it is really tough to know when enough is enough or when an opportunity is truly off piste.

someone older than me with a more normal career once called me a "career survivalist" and i bet plenty of us are this way for similar reasons 🤔

@evacide Cringing over here on my international flight 😬

@evacide

No opportunity offered

@evacide Cut to the chase… "I said yes to the thing I didn't want to do."
@evacide What have I done to deserve this particular, targeted personal attack?
@evacide I'm still alive and proof that another way is possible, in the mean time enjoy the wild ride!
@evacide We must use every opportunity we have,and if so the opportunity is used by others.
I have ever read about the book,with a title "OPPORTUNITIES DRIFTING BY"
@evacide prioritization is what becomes handy in times like this
@evacide we really needed this game : https://www.saynomo.re/ ^^
Say No! More
