Whitehaven is weird enough as it is.
Scum and villainy?
In a Lovecraftian sense. it has the feel of Innsmouth about it, stuck out on its own at the edge of a desolate coastline. At the end of everything where you can imagine anything happening. I only ever visited Whitehaven a few times when I lived in Keswick, but I felt haunted by the place. Instead of Devil's Reef, there's Sellafield (Windscale as was) where they had the nuclear accident in 1957.
But I do love the Brass Monkey bench.

Make sure to ask if it speaks Bocci.
@cptbutton @Richard_Littler
Bocci...?
I have no need for a protocol droid.

`Whootini!`
That has to be intentional. It has to be. Right?
Jawas follow their own idiosyncratic agenda, which often involves wandering
that they wind up in Whitehaven, Cumbria is more an aspect of their wanderlust, not anything you can identify as strictly coherent and intentional

The last one they sold me had a busted motivator. Not buying from them again 🤨🤷♂️
I just go to Malfunctioning Eddie now. He's basically giving stuff away 🤣
@Richard_Littler Ask them if they have a droid that speaks Spanish. ;)

@Richard_Littler I tried, but the bearded guy convinced me those were not the droids I was looking for.
Damnedest thing, I really thought they were.
@octothorpe @Richard_Littler @lisamelton
Same here. I wonder if they're eating rotini? They certainly talk about it enough.
"I got your droids right here" - Elon Musk heiling like fuck on the roof of his new Cyberhome
Weird stuff…
@Richard_Littler I see your point.
Note: For anyone who hates GenAI in general, this was generated locally using ComfyUI on my own hardware.
@Richard_Littler funnily enough I do live near it and have no idea why its that shape.
I can confirm there are no jawa's but plenty of marra's and they can get very cross
