True. Nobody in the world who has a proper education or in-demand trade skills - and hasn’t completely lost their marbles - sees Germany as a prime destination to move to. Racism is among the top reasons why.
If you’re highly skilled, you want to bring your family with you. And for your family, you expect opportunities, stability, and a sense of belonging … not the constant fear of becoming a victim of racism.
But then: #stadtbild.
We get what we order.
Germany has a gravely distorted self-image.
I think I know a thing or two about how people perceive Germany from the outside.
It's not a top-tier destination.
It's not a shining city on the hill.
It is maybe a C+ rather … and even that probably contains a good amount of self-flattery.
The @EUCommission just released a statement positioning open source as central to #Europe’s #TechSovereignty.
We couldn’t agree more. #OpenSource is critical to a robust and independent society.

Die Bundesarbeitsministerin wirbt beim Ständehaus-Treff der Rheinischen Post dafür, auch Beamte in die gesetzliche Rentenversicherung einzubeziehen. Die SPD-Chefin erzählt, wie es wirklich in der Koalition zugeht. Und sie sagt, wie sie mit dem Hass umgeht, der auch ihr entgegenschlägt.
Der Springer (und die NZZ) schreiben über #Bezos. Ich versuche das mal in die Perspektive zu rücken:
