Viktor Orbán passed a law labeling gay people as pedophiles. He banned Budapest Pride and made it a criminal offense to attend with €500 fines organizers facing prison time. And when people showed up anyway, he let police use facial recognition to hunt them down at the parade.

Millions of Hungarians stood in lines for hours to say they've had enough.

I pray we are inspired by them. #USPolitics

@gedeonm Now that the new party in power controls 2/3 of the Hungarian legislature, all those nasty things put in place by Orban can be overturned. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

@SharonCrockett @gedeonm Someone just posted that the new guy isn’t very pro gay rights, so it’s not going to be perfect, but it will be better for Europe and Hungary overall. One thing at a time.

@AngelaScholder @SharonCrockett @gedeonm He seems to have changed. In his win speech he said no one should be punished for who they love, surprising many. That seems a good thing. We’ll see. :)
