@msdropbear my understanding is our bio fuels are being used as “performance enhancement’ for low grade coal being used in power stations. (That may only be the used chip oil)

@Old_IT_geek maybe, but the news item was interviewing various local human-peeps who were bigging it up for road transport fuel self-sufficiency. i sneered so much my face almost fell orf.

@msdropbear When looking at building a national Fuelwatch system (based on the ongoing WA system) we looked at biofuels to see if supermarkets selling canola oil would need to report prices. The advice was biofuels were not viable and made more money being sold overseas for cooking.
