@PhoenixSerenity I'm gonna ask a dumb question as I'm seriously considering starting a small veggie garden this year.

For cucumbers, can I just use the seeds I get in the cucumbers from the grocery store? And if I do, can I just start them in the ground rather than a pot?

@somcak You can only do that if the cucumbers are not GMO/hybrid without germinating seeds. I recommend getting those cukes from farmer's market instead. Most big grocery stores don't sell cukes that germinate well - they're not very interested in more people being able to grow their own foods. You do better with growing stuff from grocery stores if they're root veggies or veggies like celery - foods that can grow from cuttings & not dependent on good seeds.
@PhoenixSerenity thank you!!
