For people who love Gil, you shouldn’t hesitate when it comes to snagging this reissue.
It sounds excellent, particularly Gil’s great voice, which is front and center and sounds killer.

The word “masterpiece” is thrown around a lot these days, and it’s kind of lost all true meaning, being applied to horrible “works of art”.

The title track is a TRUE masterpiece, and this is one of the more perfect compilation albums of any artist’s work.

All songs come from his first three albums on Flying Dutchman, Small Talk at 125th and Lenox (1970), Pieces of a Man (1971), and Free Will (1972).

Just a great artist.
