@Amgine asks:

Q4a. Do you gps track your rides?
Q4b. If so, do you use a dedicated device or your mobile phone?
Q4c. Is your ride data on the web?

#BikeNitePQ: I think this is a re-#cycle, but a multi-part question: * Do you gps track your rides? * If so, do you use a dedicated device or your mobile phone? * Is your ride data on the web? A thing I found out about years ago: #OSMAnd mobile app has a plugin for sharing your location. It requires configuring for your tracking service (I use a Nextcloud instance with a plugin to produce the secure API,) which was easy for me and fuss-free since. @ascentale @Amgine @bikenite #bikenite A4: Mostly, except for commuter rides which I've done a million times. Just using RideWithGPS on my phone, it works pretty well. I don't pay too much attention to total distances etc, but my favourite thing about it is it can draw a "personal heatmap" of recorded rides, and I like the way it shows the connected and tangled paths I've taken through the outskirts of Melbourne. A couple of times I've planned rides specifically to connect areas together, eg: I'd done a whole lot of riding out from Mt Dandenong and out to Warburton, and a whole lot around the city, so I came up with a ride from Ringwood out to Mt Dandenong to join those two groups of tracks together. Connecting up to the Great Ocean Road might be a bit more challenging!
@nickzoic @ascentale @bikenite I'm a sucker for the various third-party visualisation and colouring-in websites that tie in to strava or other data. Joining up places ridden is a fun target at times
@ajft @ascentale @bikenite oh that's cool i wonder if ridewithgps can export a map like that ...
@nickzoic all the third party stuff seems to tie in to Strava, unfortunately (either that or roll your own and feed it the gpx tracks)
