@Dio9sys @404mediaco When we stop it and not a moment earlier.
Nobody's coming to save the day.
There are no heroes.
Our institutions are all compromised.
We save ourselves or we don't get saved at all.
@404mediaco city officials signed non disclosure agreements?!?!
@404mediaco Bizarre behaviour. The normal approach is simply to press the red button that disconnects the speaker's microphone when they go over time.
(And in fact when I had the red button I never felt the need to use it. Either the people going over time in public meetings were saying interesting things, in which case why not let them continue[#], or they were saying boring things, in which case asking them to shut up generally worked.)
([#] Except for quasi-judicial things like planning hearings where letting one side speak longer than the other risks legal challenges.)

@Christo_459 @404mediaco Of course. it's a Republican-run state. I grew up a few miles from there. Been corrupt as long as I can remember.
I mean the foundation of the state is, the US used it as a concentration camp for the east coast native peoples and then a few years later said, 'Hey homesteaders. You have have your 40 acres and a mule if you can prove you can murder native peoples for a year.
Then the banks stole nearly everything from them in the dust bowl. Great home state, no?
