@404mediaco Bizarre behaviour. The normal approach is simply to press the red button that disconnects the speaker's microphone when they go over time.

(And in fact when I had the red button I never felt the need to use it. Either the people going over time in public meetings were saying interesting things, in which case why not let them continue[#], or they were saying boring things, in which case asking them to shut up generally worked.)

([#] Except for quasi-judicial things like planning hearings where letting one side speak longer than the other risks legal challenges.)

In the stream, you can see that before he is speaking people are talking about how disrespectful the council is to their constituents, and per interviews with some people at the meeting, they assert the council let pro-datacenter lobbiests go over their time without consequence.
