42 years ago today, April 7, 1984, Dolly Parton debuted at #69 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart with “Downtown”. It went on to peak at #36 and spent a total of 10 weeks on the chart.

It’s been my hobby to collect 45 RPM singles. I added this one to my treasured collection 4+ decades ago, bought from my favorite now gone record store in Anchorage.
