@KatyElphinstone

Ooh, I'm going to want to hear that, her interview in the TES was offensively ill-informed, though, like the proverbial broken clock, hitting on a couple of good points by accident.

@MrBerard

Yes, it has raised some interesting discussions, and actually I don't blame her personally, at all - but my feeling it smells of 'establishment' & right wing agendas. Pitting vulnerable groups against each other.

Reinforced by how many posts are popping up on my Facebook feed recently about how 'special needs' children are usurping all of the teachers' attention etc. They're just being 'spoiled' and their parents too. It's quite disturbing and I'm going on there less and less.

@MrBerard

So yes, I think she did bring up some interesting points. I think she may be being used for an agenda, unwittingly. 😥

@KatyElphinstone @MrBerard This would have me incoherent with rage. It also shows that school management and teachers are either not educated enough or not willing to educate parents.

That said, I 100% agree that teachers don't have enough time and/or attention for the non-disruptive kids. Because they are typically massively overworked and often victims themselves of a system that actively produces and protects bullies through its rigid hierarchy.
