Making a small Zelda-like game, I wanted to branch out and try different social media sites 🤔

Showing off the Snake boss since it came very snaky 😆

@pyrrhicparadise This reminds of the bosses in the Avatar: The Last Airbender game for the GBA, especially the first one.
@thalia I usually just wing it art wise, bit definitely had old GBA games in mind making everything 😆
@pyrrhicparadise Looks promising !

@tipiak75 Thanks 😁

Yeah I think people will enjoy it

@pyrrhicparadise That is a very snaky Snake boss indeed. 🐍

@jackryder Thanks,

Yup I'd say I definitely checked off the "is a snake" checkbox 🤔

@pyrrhicparadise 😆

What engine are you using, if you're using one? I saw you have mentioned zelda-like which sounds interesting. I feel we don't get enough of those.

@jackryder Gamemaker studio.

I actually thought zelda-likes were pretty common. Though I tend to follow them so maybe my feed on other sites are just flooded with them

Fun to work on though. And simple, it's actually the second project I have. Jait a little side one I could throw together and use characters and bosses I couldn't in my main game 🤔

@pyrrhicparadise Oh cool! I wish I knew better sites, I hardly see any zelda-like info.

GameMaker confuses me if I'm honest.

Like, if you own a copy of it or you bought it years ago...you can't release games in it commercially now...for some reason...

@jackryder Mainly I just used twitter while I prototyped things, tons of Zelda like games over there.

And yeah I remember seeing that Gamemaker 2 thing as well. It's confusing, I'll probably look into it a bit more when I'm going to release this little game. But at the moment I can export to platforms that my original licence allows. I create executables to test the game on other machines all the time. So it seems like it still applies 🤔
