We now have #RhodeIsland showing up on the #Boston #Meshcore network as of today!

I was able to send a message, with delivery notifications, from #CambridgeMA all the way to the southernmost dot on the map in RI.

One can now message from Rhode Island to New Hampshire through Boston on MeshCore.

I have been working on the goal of getting RI connected for a year now, and thanks to the amazing folks in RI who installed a few repeaters recently and made it happen.

Rhode Island repeaters are configured to use a coding rate value of 8 (CR8) for extra error correction since they are a very sparse network at the moment. The connection then traverses up into Boston through more reliable links.

It's not 100% reliable, but it is working in practice. Now that #MeshCore has a foothold in the area, it's going to be easy to demonstrate and expand.

Next goal, connect the node I installed on #BlockIsland to Boston!
