38 years ago today, March 26, 1988, David Slater debuted at #80 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart with “I’m Still Your Fool”. It went on to peak at #36 and spent a total of 13 weeks on the chart.

I remember seeing the video of this song and liking his voice. Shortly thereafter, I went to my favorite record store to buy it and gladly added it to my treasured music collection all those years ago.
