This pic's title is _Valkyrie's Vigil_, and while it doesn't look terribly vigilant, it got me thinking about how Lashunta Outriders are essential an order of knighthood, often organized by city but with a sense of collegiality and code of honor that extends beyond municipal afflication. Maybe Lady Vaeol was obligated to stand vigil and contemplate dedication to her oath the night before she swore troth to Son under the light of Burning-Mother's temple. Did she face doubts in the night, of her own resolve, of her abilities? Looking back over nine Castrovellian years (4.5 human years) of narrative time, feel free to be the judge.
