Successfully made a bread! To be sure, some would argue that baking your own bread in France is like bringing coals to Newcastle. And this is true. But what if the commute is really pleasant?

@foon oh given the history I’m not sure I would agree. The baguette had to be brought back and the Tradition is different than some of what it competes with
@dimsumthinking yeah in all honesty I agree with you. I think the bread is very good here today, but there are still a lot of under-represented styles.
@foon Are you actually in the perfect place, a nation that knows, and loves good bread? I would think the french would consider baking good bread a an act of patriotism
@GaryAsh ha! I am in France, yes, I moved here last month. You’re probably right about that, but the question is whether I can justify the effort when there are three good bakeries within a 60 second walk.
@foon love of the craft! factories, and shops, fill stores with all we *really* need but they don’t sell. The joy of doing!

@foon I say, there’s no better place to perfect the craft than the place known for it. I tried to pick every pizzaiolo’s brain in Naples about the intricacies of their pizzas. 😄

The bread looks amazing though!

@foon is this an apartment or a home? 😄 The kitchen seems pretty big!
Anyway GG dude 👌
@tibimac apartment. Yeah, the kitchen is not bad.
@foon I'm baking also rye bread every week. :)
