The perfect spin for a Sunday night.

One of the five or so greatest #jazz albums of all time.

My son is 16. Up until about a year ago, he LOATHED jazz.

THIS album may have been the one that cracked him. I certainly have heard him revisiting it after our first spin of it together.

Time to break out some of the good Scotch, too.

@TheVinylApe It’s a 2019 Impulse “Vital Vinyl” issue. It was just sitting there at the record store, I will admit it was a bit of an impulse buy…but I’ve heard the record in general is amazing so it seemed like not a huge risk to take.

@kaiser_franz yeah man. Amazing seems like an underwhelming word.
Like I said, it got my 16 year old into jazz, so I think at base you’d have to start with “magical”.

I feel lucky to have a ‘63 press. I found it at a garage sale about a decade ago.
Minty fresh condition, too.
