Ever had like 20 projects you want to do, so you end up spending the whole day posting shit on Fedi instead?

Asking for, uh, no reason πŸ˜…

@alice feels like it's been my life for the last couple of years tbh
@alice how clean is your house right now though??
@alice huh... nooooo not at all
@alice πŸ‘€

No… that doesn’t sound familiar or relatable at all…
πŸ‘€

@alice
*looks at my slightly manic TL for the day*
*backs slowly into hedge*
@alice hmmm, no, can't relate,,, >_>
@alice Maybe not 20 projects, and maybe not shitposting all day... but yes. I am familiar with that pattern πŸ˜†
@alice
20? Not that I remember of. πŸ€”
Let me check rn [me, counting the number of tasks in my various backlogs]... 38? 🫣
@alice Tell me about it. 😁
@alice Oh yeah, all the time.
@alice Hey. Buddy...
Don't be desperate .
Keep focus on your goals.
@alice I always look for some one thing to absorb all my attention, it solves that problem.
Then you need a distraction, like posting on Fedi.
@alice Or, like, replying to a lot of posts? …
@alice
Always
This is the way
@alice literally what I've done this evening.
@alice That's me everyday
@alice I'm so good at procrastinating that I don't even get through the things I was doing to procrastinate.
@alice I should probably do something worthwhile or else go to bed because it's late, but sure enough I'm just queueing up music I haven't heard in ages to blast through my headphones
@alice that's me, like, all the time. I don't know why I haven't sought an adhd diagnosis.
@alice I'm not procrastinating; *you're* procrasti--Sorry, had to shop for a trophy-washing bag. What were we talking about?
@alice (Too bad I no longer have an Amazon account; gonna miss seeing search suggestions like "dafuq is a trophy-washing bag?!?")
@alice I've heard.that before the Fedi people would have to use another method of distraction. Or so my, uhm, friend told me.

@alice hee hee hee

same same

right now using taskwarrior to prganize my tasks, and the principal task is to re-organize tasks as I learn more about how to use it.

@ramkay Meanwhile, the person who introduced you to taskwarrior may have forgotten about it and started writing things on a whiteboard.

@amenonsen hahaha

I am just reading about syncing to phone - if that works then I can feel even more productive than just writing it down in my pocketbook

@alice actually I do this but as an escape from reality.
There are days that I don't find the energy to work and fedi helps to bear this.
@natasha @alice *hug if consent*…
@F3715H @alice consent always granted for mutus
@alice
I see you've met my executive dysfunction.
@alice @kirtai

this reply is written from bed after i got out of it and then immediately regretted it.
@alice
No πŸ™ˆ
Narrator: very much so, actually
@alice I'm OK with this. It never gets boring.
@alice I'm sure I don't see what you mean at all (said he, interacting on Mastodon while he has 20 projects he wants to do).
@alice its been hard not posting on fedi as much but i have been getting back into making art :3
@carbonated_estrogen awesome! You'll have to show me some next time we hang out πŸ’–
@alice I feel seen.. πŸ™ƒ
@alice Every damned weekend, obviously this one included. My excuse today is that my back is hurting way too much to get under the Bronco and drop the transmission. It's a valid excuse as my back is really hurting, but then again, it's always hurting.
@alice
Cool reminder, that I should use the vacuum over the floor
