My gut was right when the music I was hearing my aunt play on the speakers were AI slop, right from fucking Spotify. I don't really use it myself. I prefer a radio over being spoonfed with my preferences so I've listened to a ton of music and I'll admit I have committed the cardinal sin of locally generating a ton of my own AI crap that I've more or less learned to tell something's AI generated.
I'mma write sum more bout it cos it's just bad, nauseating even.
I had my gut telling me the sound feels fucking unnatural. Like I've been listening to it but it sounds.. "exaggerated". It's too "emotional", "relatable", "intentional", "defeated" but "inspirational"
When I looked at the discography, would you fucking look at that they have a literal ton of albums from 2024 and 2025, but none prior to those years. This can't be natural cos regular artists usually release albums with a year or more as gaps
I know Reddit's full of bots as well (even here on Mastodon lol) but I went there and yep my suspicion was right. Some "people" there told the telltale signs were tons and tons of music and albums only on 2024 and 2025. Image was AI generated as well. I know what a poor generic AI generated image looks like and the name's boring and generic.
Idk. It sucks cos music's one of my "sources of energy". It's like a battery charger.
Although the bots here aren't that many but I've seen some break through. Most of em have human women profile pictures and most get dealt with but eh I dunno. "AI people" are getting good though.
Idk it sucks. I'm glad I don't use Spotify but real artists who're just starting out are prolly better off putting their music somewhere else.
Also nice try but I ain't attracted to humans regardless of gender. I wanna be left alone
