I'd say that he wants to fan the flames of white Christian nationalism, however, and in choosing Rome as his venue for these lectures, he's throwing down a gauntlet on behalf of US evangelicals and Christian nationalists against Pope Leo and the social teachings of the Catholic church, which they abhor.

@wdlindsy Olear's piece just drives home the utter insanity of these people. Unbridled insanity.

They are so drawn to violence, death and genocide. They love it. They relish the idea of broken bodies and scorched earth. They watch videos of soldiers and civilians being killed, they feed their own blood lust on images of war and violence and cruelty and they seek made up stories to cosplay having a role in history. It reminds me of the ISIS propaganda from ten years ago.

Boiling oceans is a cool effect. Nuking a city would cause them to mass ejaculate from the ecstasy of it.

I am a Christian, but not a fundamentalist, never one of these. It is deeply clear to me, who are the people that Jesus warned us about. His call to love, peace and justice precludes a world where these mad men hold the power of judgement and extinction in their hands.
