Europe should only protect ships in Hormuz under european command, not under NATO or US command because the US is involved in offensive operations against Iran we don‘t necessarily agree with. But i hope Europe stays out of this Trump/Netanyahu initiated conflict.

@ErikJonker @geopolitics Germany wants a regime change in Iran, especially after the recent blood bath which preceded operation #EpicFury. France is ambivalent. UK wants to preserve its special relationship. Only Spain and very few other countries in EU/Europe do not support Operation #EpicFury.

#Europe is not ready to field a force independent of #NATO or #US.

@Welkin Germany has alread said it "doesn't see a role" for itself, I don't think France is as ambivalent as you think and afaik the UK is well aware of the fact that their "special relationship" has soured.

But maybe I'm too optimistic, "the wish is the father of the thought". I really hope no single European country will be stupid enough to follow the orange psychopath into this war.
