Europe should only protect ships in Hormuz under european command, not under NATO or US command because the US is involved in offensive operations against Iran we don‘t necessarily agree with. But i hope Europe stays out of this Trump/Netanyahu initiated conflict.

@Welkin Germany has alread said it "doesn't see a role" for itself, I don't think France is as ambivalent as you think and afaik the UK is well aware of the fact that their "special relationship" has soured.

But maybe I'm too optimistic, "the wish is the father of the thought". I really hope no single European country will be stupid enough to follow the orange psychopath into this war.

However, energy blackmail can be very persuasive and definitely favours a war where the largest energy producers can buy armies and bomb all resistance into oblivion. He and his genocidal buddy started this war, didn't consult with other countries and didn't plan further than killing Khamenei.

Now that a war turns out to mean a bit more than a few bombing raids and tough talk, now that the entire Middle East is on fire and the entire world is facing serious economic problems, he's trying to put the burden of his fuckup on the rest of the world.

Threatening (again!) NATO members should they not want to kiss his ass, and even pressuring China to help.

Early 2025 I predicted that this psychopath would start World War 3, and so far I have only become more convinced of it.

Europe should NOT protect ships in the Strait, not under any command, we should have learned from the WMD-debacle in Iraq and not let the US drag us into another illegal war again.
