Worth noting that while QuitGPT lists Claude as an alternative, they're definitely not the "good guys".

The new arms race is to produce the most efficient, whatever that might mean to anyone, autonomous weapons system possible. No government will invest in "AI for peace" at this point. The next conflict after this one (or rather it's continuation once sides are clear and everyone is armed) is gonna be about terminators, drones and AI tanks marching through people.

In any case, there are new tools being developed such as Le chat by Mistral in Europe (the basic version is free of charge - https://chat.mistral.ai/chat) or NanoGpt (limited free model https://nano-gpt.com/models/image).
I didn't subscribe for choice, but I'll try LeChat, whose privacy policy follows the EU one
@stefan Good to see people boycotting ChatGPT. If you ask me if you can at all don't use any sort of Generative AI.
It's better to use real people or learn yourself than use GenAI.

I guess we'll have to take our wins where we get them.
Worth noting that the campaign not only encouraged people quit ChatGpt, but also:
- encourage people keep going without
- encourage people to consider alternative services
- encourage alternative services to consider higher value for "the bottom" they're racing toward.
So while the campaign is aimed on those who subscribe, they're not the only group spoken to.
