Today I tried getting #Reticulum running on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W in my home network. It seems the Zyxel router my ISP gave me is fine for regular use, but doesn't play nice with Reticulum.

Has anyone in the #MeshCore scene (or adjacent) managed to get Reticulum running over #LoRa? I'm looking for encouragement before trying to turn my T-Echo into an #RNode. 😅

@daan yes, I tried #RNode and #LoRa. But only indoor test for short range. I tested serial and WiFi connection between computer with #RNS and RNode and Bluetooth connection between smartphone and another RNode. All three worked. And yes, with very recent RNS and RNode firmware it is possible to connect LoRa device with computer also over WiFi
@malwarelab_eu Thank you for your reply!
That sounds encouraging. Whenever I get my hands on an extra spare T-Echo or Heltec board, I'll give it a go. Testing with only one RNode in this setup wouldn't be that useful.
@daan you are welcome. Of course, testing with more than one device is definitely more useful and funny.
I tested #reticulum with lilygo t3 v2.1, heltec v2 and v3.
I observed that on older devices with esp32 (not esp32s3), RNode firmware boots and runs much faster and smoothly than MeshCore. So I switched my older devices to RNodes and newer devices to MeshCore nodes.
@malwarelab_eu That's good to know. I expect to flash one or more Heltec v3 boards as MeshCore repeaters for friends and family at some point. Might as well run a Reticulum test beforehand.
