These are two of my favorite memes about companies putting AI into everything.

if you have any additional favorite ones you want to share, I wouldn't mind a few more to spice up one of my coming talks with....

@bagder Think of all the poor hardware salespeople kids who need to eat ! When this Bacchanalia ends (it will), and after the hangover and after the mess ... it will not matter much saying 'I told you so' as a new feast will start and it just goes round n round ... apart from the global scale theft, climate damage I am trying hard to find some silver lining with all this but mostly keeping close to it to understand the threat.
@bagder I saw this on Discord today:
@bagder I liked this one, but maybe it is too company specific: https://infosec.exchange/@mttaggart/115555851416045001

@bagder the comic has a credit, the 2nd one is my creation (which is why it's so dumb)
@bagder Oh and this one I don't have a credit for.

@bagder I made this one after a particularly painful lunch a few months back where I had to listen to a dude talk about something called N8N for fifteen minutes straight. Not as generally useful though.
@bagder I drew this... might be a tangent on your theme.

Mock headline from CNN:
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman visits orphanage.

“It’s heartbreaking to look into those sad, hopeless eyes” - Said one of the kids

@dimsumthinking this was pretty much my reaction when introduced to stuff like the Z specification language in a computer science lecture in about 1990.

I'm sure some of the reaction was down to insecurity at the idea of my role being replaced by a mathematical proof, but even by then I think I had enough practical experience to think "hang on a minute, isn't that just another kind of..?” 😄.

@bagder this one gets you in the feels.
@MatthewChat @bagder I assume this is a perfect, down the middle take on this for real AI bubble product being hyped. https://bsky.app/profile/cpaxton.bsky.social/post/3m5k4ojtgs22r

Nightmarish idea for a startup tbh

@bagder I am so royally fed up with the AI invasion 😒
@bagder found this on some Discord server a while ago, unfortunately don’t remember which one
@bagder a few from my own collection, all copied from various unknown sources.
@bmitch @bagder yes, it's really getting that bad. this is not even funny anymore.
@bmitch @bagder the third can be ordered here as a t-shirt, but I'm not sure if they are the creators of that graphic:

@bagder this thread has been great for adding to my own stash. Here's one I haven't seen here yet:
@rhrgrt @bagder
Truly masterfull AltText job on this meme, rhgrt, if I may say so.
@Guillotine_Jones @bagder
Haha, thanks, I really put my heart into it

@going_to_maine @bagder I think this sums the value of AI (LLM’s) up, perfectly.
@going_to_maine @bagder wow. I had to look it up to confirm it's real. The author is apparently a reputable academic. Smh...

@yuntiandeng: Is OpenAI's o1 a good calculator? We tested it on up to 20x20 multiplication—o1 solves up to 9x9 multiplication with decent accuracy, while gpt-4o struggles beyond 4x4. For context, this task is solvab...…

@bagder I have just the thing you need
@bagder perhaps a level removed, but…
@bagder no image credit for this one I’m afraid, but should be googleable
@bagder I saw this one a while back
@bagder lil quote from a Vanity Fair article
@bagder slightly more political, perhaps, but captures the corporate attitude I think
@bagder reading through the answers, I think we can safely say you've found the best ones
@bagder Here's one I made, about bot-assisted coding.

@bagder there's always this classic:

I saw a guy wearing a T-shirt with it at a protest. He said he loved it too but couldn't wear it to work-- he worked at Google.
