Mikee that's not a hinge that's clearly a threaded screw assembly 🤭
No dialing in, straight to a large diameter drill, no coolant, no thread relief - I'll bet it tastes terrible 🤪
"Okay but the price is still $21, please"
Tastiest dildo ever conceived, right there, even with space for a vibrator.

they have to make 200 more...
Where is this video from/source/credits? 🤔
Also see well listen to the great vegetable orchestra: https://www.vegetableorchestra.org/videos.php 🍆🥒🥕🥦🎶🎵

@benroyce
It is AI-generated slop. The carrot skrew has 6 turns according to the video, but the tool making the skrew only made four turns.
All trending videos on my mastodon feed turn out since september to be Artificial Intelligence generated.
@synapsenkitzler
not only is it real, but your post is a serious problem
the threat from AI is not being tricked that something fake is real
but being so filled with doubt, we don't believe anything at all, even real photos and videos
again, the issue with the rise of AI slop is not being fooled, but voices like yours muttering "fake fake fake..." under every post
whether as a troll effort, or pathological distrust
i wrote a thread about the phenomenon:
@benroyce @xdej @synapsenkitzler
I remember someone from Germany being very sceptical a picture from 1970s I retooted of British folk fixing a car in the street wasn't AI - in the end he did realise I was old enough to have seen such scenes with my own eyes and familiar with the look of 1970s analogue film stock (my late father was heavily into photography) and the street layouts of Britain of that time - there might have also been a cultural difference, as by 1970s (before he was born) such activities were *already* "streng verboten" in West Germany (they are warned against in "Das Grosse ADAC-Autobuch from that era", so he wouldn't have seen folk fixing cars in the street as a youth..
@vfrmedia @xdej @synapsenkitzler
yeah and the threat with these "fake AI, fake AI, fake AI..." posts under everything is in us not believing in anything, and we just trust our (biased) gut
that is even the point of propaganda:
not to push an agenda, but to fill everyone with distrust of *all* agendas, good and bad
this is just a carrot-cucumber video. zero stakes
but what if it were a video of a wartime atrocity?
the threat from #AI is not tricking us, but training us to believe nothing
@nev @benroyce @xdej @synapsenkitzler
its very likely to be a publicity / marketing video for the CNC machines, maybe from a Chinese social network so there could be a language barrier in finding the original - I regularly see some amazing semi-automated mechanics tools on some videos of Chinese mechanics at work, but its near impossible to find out where they come from, and even if you do they aren't widely sold in the West
@vfrmedia @benroyce @xdej @synapsenkitzler I an fairly certain I found the original: https://www.tiktok.com/@wadimsych1/video/7575441835519200568 (the rest of the channel is similar videos: https://www.tiktok.com/@wadimsych1)
Method:
- googled "carrot cucumber cnc"; found a comment on a repost saying it was actually a lathe
- googled "carrot cucumber lathe" to no avail, although I did learn many people use lathes for making decorative vegetable garnishes
- googled "carrot lathe" and saw the thumbnail in the Images tab
Time: idk 15 minutes? I'm procrastinating on work
@nev @vfrmedia @xdej @synapsenkitzler
Excellent. And thank you. Your internet search skills are better than mine
The problem is I *do* look for sources and I resent the implication that I don't care, after being accused of posting fake AI. Fuck that noise
@synapsenkitzler @nev @vfrmedia @xdej
i did
and the source i linked to does not look original. they do not cite a source in turn
it is on youtube, where they are earning money on it, unlike here where there are no stakes
are you going to file a complaint to youtube, since you care so much?
or does your level of care end when it isn't about busybody backbiting?
go. file a complaint on youtube. i want you to do that right now and i want to see proof you did so
since you care so much
right?
@synapsenkitzler @nev @vfrmedia @xdej
i had another post that got over a 1,000 boosts, a video of a duck in an elementary school. i couldn't find the source but people started looking for one, and it got confusing because apparently ducks in elementary schools isn't that rare
but we had fun looking for the source
because there wasn't accusatory assholes like you Synapsenkitzler involved
i cite my sources
if i can't, i am not the problem. i tried
do you understand, you fucking shitstain?
@nev @vfrmedia @xdej @synapsenkitzler
I found it on social media. I looked for and got the best link I could find, which also doesn't look original. Look in my posting history, I am good with sources. I do some due diligence, I do my best, and I either find one or not
Does that work for you?
Is that good enough for you?
Do you want me to spend 3 months on a source hunt? Hire a private investigator?
Fuck you, asswipe
@mike805 @benroyce @xdej @synapsenkitzler
fixing a car at the kerb in a suburban area (it wouldn't be safe nor legal in any street with faster live traffic), although the picture showed a considerable amount of oil had leaked out to the road surface. Since about 2005 this is now forbidden in Britain, unless its an emergency / safety-critical repair (i.e replacing a defective bulb or swapping a tyre for the spare wheel)
@vfrmedia
Just count the four rotations in 15th second of the video.
I see all the agressivity in your posts: I will have to report that.
@mike805 @benroyce @synapsenkitzler
@xdej @vfrmedia @mike805 @synapsenkitzler
Nobody fucking cares
And please, report us. Report this too: you're a nutcase with a pathological distrust disorder. Go count pixels and tell us how the moon landing was faked outside our mentions, you fucking wackjob
As for the number of turns not matching, it is fairly clear that the video has been sped up, possibly with cut out frames to make it snappier.
But the main thing is, having used an engine lathe, I'm pretty certain this CAN be done, although working with soft material is a challenge. I remember my grandfather explaining how they could machine rubber parts by freezing them first.
Biggest problem is how do you keep the vegetables food safe without getting oil or metal shavings on them? Tricky!
And this is another point: suppose it is AI generated, but also completely feasible. How do we feel about that? Truth or lie..?
