Elon Musk is boosting the Brit...
@iandunt.bsky.social I would wager, the behavior is analogus for other countries too. Just follow the money.
Sooo society, a serious poltical question for you:
When do we consider companies hostile state actors that can also be sanctioned as such..?
In my opinion it is a long time coming for this one.
DAG today
"we, in a more jaded time than the optimism of Enlightenment thinking, realise that conflict and confrontation is not always a prelude to a happy equilibrium: things break down, thesis and antithesis do not resolve as a synthesis, markets do not clear and are certainly never ‘perfect’."
This should be illegal… block X and sue the bastard…
@iandunt.bsky.social They created 9 users and collected and analysed what the algorithm showed those 9 users. They have evidence of bias. We can surmise that something must introduce bias because the bias exists. They didn’t find the algorithm. They can’t show it or explain it.
And things like this are just dumb: “As a result, platforms built as public town squares for self-expression and connecting with others are now more like private property, where the loudest voices belong to those with power”
It was always private property. They’re wilfully misunderstanding these terms. And they don’t even engage with the disproportionate power the wealthy have in things that truly are “public.”
So is Sky News, at least in Australia.

#UKGovernment
Ref: X
No WONDER the UK GOVERNMENT has become so obsessed with these extreme right wing methods!
They are obsessed with using X.
X should be banned from UK.
UKGOV must stop using X.
@iandunt.bsky.social I don't expect a single government minister to do anything about it, they are in thrall to Silicon Valley, they allow themselves to be dominated by men like Musk
