@Daojoan The people who keep saying it have no idea that post-truth is essentially the default state of all politics in their country. All countries have a ‘default’ ideology that prioritises which facts are considered such and which are conveniently ignored; that is why certain countries—you know, the ones we call “rogue states”—are constantly lied about all the time, but nobody bats an eye because nobody cares about the truth.

@Daojoan I'd say delayed consequences for the ultra rich and politicians ONLY. The rest of the society gets caught up in minimal things and goes bankrupt easily.

@Daojoan I started shunning the fascist types and when I try to get others to do it, it's "well I can't cut off my family or friends" or whatever. If you stay willing to associate with people who have adopted bad values, what does that make you.
