If you hit a nail hard enough with beans you can get the nail mostly in but it'll be messy and expensive and a lot of people will be angry at you because you built a 1700 tonne bean-accelerator, only got the nail 2/3rds in, splattered beans over a 60 mile radius and you still needed someone to go in with a hammer and finish it off.

Unfriendly #Pride reminder that rainbow capitalism is better than openly bigoted capitalism.

We *want* them to value our money more than our enemies' money. We want them to be ashamed of their right-wing executives, and to support their queer employees' Pride initiatives.

It helps literally keep us alive. Now more than ever, with diversity and inclusion programs getting shut down all over the place.

@JessTheUnstill indeed; _The Mythical Man-Month_ was in 1975, mostly still holds true, and many senior managers and PMs still haven’t learned its lessons.

As a younger dev, I used to buy unreasonable bosses two copies of that book with a note that explained they could read it twice as fast that way. My snark is more judicious now, but it’s still a temptation …

If monkey dust was still running: Trump's cancerous body expires, but his pissbaby crew are going to increasingly disgusting lengths to Weekend At Bernies him around to make sure the history books say he outlived Biden.

After it's all over, the entire Trump administration stand in silence. Finally feeling shame for the first time, they are overwhelmed. Several take their own lives immediately. Others, slowly.

The entire story is told in flashback by a ragged drunk in a neonoir cyberpunk dive bar. He is the last survivor of the crew.

When he finishes the story, he downs a bottle, and walks down on the hyperloop tracks. The hyperloop is broken again. He weeps.
